How To Evade Scary Financial Scams
#1 HIDE YOUR SECRETS
Don't share personal information via phone, email, or text. Scammers text and call to ask for your bank login, passwords, account numbers, birth dates, or SSN, but Harmony Bank will never text you for these details. When in doubt, sever the connection and give us a call.
#2 PROTECT YOURSELF
Utilize two-factor authentication whenever possible and use strong, unique passwords that you don’t use for any other site. Change your passwords regularly, and don't leave them written down where any venomous scammer could find them.
#3 PEER INTO THE SHADOWS
Don't let vampiric scammers drain your bank accounts. Regularly review your bank and credit card statements. If you unveil any mysterious transactions lurking in the financial abyss, report them to us immediately!
#4 STAY VIGILANT
Be wary of unsolicited calls, emails, texts, and strange messages. Avoid clicking risky links, opening unknown attachments, or sharing sensitive details with anyone claiming to represent Harmony Bank. Be cautious if they promise quick riches or demand immediate action. If it smells like a rotten pumpkin, trust your instincts.
