Merger Announcement
We are pleased to announce as of July 1, 2022, FNBK Holdings, Inc., the bank holding company for First National Bank of Kemp, completed the acquisition of The First State Bank of Rice and its four banking centers in Ennis, Italy, Rice, and Waxahachie. At the completion of the acquisition First State Bank was merged into First National Bank with total assets under control now being approximately $350 million. At the same time a name change for the bank occurred. As of this date the newly combined banks will operate under the name Harmony Bank, National Association.
For our loyal customers, whether you were originally with FNB or FSB, you will see no immediate changes to how you conduct your banking business and there is nothing you need to do at this time. Your debit cards still function as they have. Your existing checks will still work even if they have the old bank name and logo on them. Access to your online banking has not changed. However, over time, there will be changes to these things and others. Our management team has a plan in place to slowly integrate and upgrade all the systems from the two banks over the next year. Rest assured that as this integration occurs any changes affecting you, your accounts, or your access to account information will be communicated well in advance.
We invite you to feel free to visit any of our 6 banking centers located in Ennis, Italy, Kemp, Rice, Seven Points, and Waxahachie to conduct your banking business. As you do you will notice our new Harmony Bank name, but you can also expect to see the same friendly faces and receive the same great service you have come to expect from us in the past. We look forward to seeing you soon.
